Meet Patrick Foster
I’m Patrick — a cardiac physiologist and sonographer, practising since 2017, with numerous years of experience dedicated to teaching doctors and healthcare professional’s ultrasound and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).
I am an accredited medical educator through the Academy for Medical Education and have served as the Acute Medicine Ultrasound Educator for Pan-London over the past few years. In that role, I have supervised and accredited over 100 clinicians across a range of ultrasound applications.
Alongside clinical practice, I continue to work in the clinical and research space and hold an honorarium at Imperial College London.
I am accredited as a supervisor/ trainer for:
- BSE: Level 1, Level 2, TOE, Critical Care
- FUSIC: Heart, HD, Lung, fTOE
- FAMUS: Lung, Abdominal, Vascular
- EACVI: TTE and TOE

Gaining competency in ultrasound (POCUS) can be difficult. Many clinicians struggle to find the time and resources to have their scans reviewed by an accredited supervisor. This service is designed to make that process easier. You can upload your studies and receive structured, written feedback usually within seven working days.
